Message on Mark 1:21-34

If I were to read a book, study it, and then set about to teach it…you would listen. But you would be listening to my interpretation of what I read as I did my best to explain what I thought the author was trying to communicate.

Now, if I wrote a book and then showed up to teach from the book that I wrote, you would listen with a different set of ears. Because I’m not giving you my best guess on what the author is trying to communicate…No, I AM the author. And I would be there to TELL you what I meant when I wrote…

THIS is the picture of the scene we will read today in Mark 1:21-34…and we will see the response that takes place in the SYNAGOGUE when the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2) arrived on the scene.
