Can You Handle the Truth?

Psalm 58:11 Mankind will say, "Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely there is a God who judges the earth."
That's right. No matter what anyone thinks or says about living their "own truth", everyone knows deep in their heart there is only One Truth. In our Psalm for today we learn people will go their own way, worship their own gods, and bring about their own destruction. And yet in the final verse there is an admission that mankind will say, "Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely there is a God who judges the earth."
Translation: At the end of the day, we all know there is a God who oversees it all and is the Truth of it all.
There are three sides to every story. The left side, the right side, and the Truth. This day and age it is harder and harder to know what is true. Social media has made it so fake stories abound. AI deepfakes are everywhere and there is no way to know if what you're seeing or reading is artificially created or real. Politicians and judges aren't concerned with truth anymore. They are more interested in playing to their support base and constituencies rather than following the rule of law. People argue back and forth on hot topics of the day and defend their position. Even if one side is presented with undeniable truth that their argument is not correct they will refuse to give an inch and will defend a lie to the death. We have truly become a sick and depraved culture; deadset on tipping the scales toward our personal beliefs and bias.
Where is God in all of this? Where is the TRUTH?
His Name is Jesus and He sits on the Throne! When Jesus was being questioned by Caiaphas and asked if he was the Son of God, Jesus responded with Truth.
Mark 14:62
62 And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
Later, when Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate in John 18:33-38, Jesus said to Pilate that He came into the world to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth listens to His voice.
Jesus echoed Psalm 58:11. Surely there is a God. Surely He holds the Truth!
Can you handle the Truth?
The time is soon approaching when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the Truth; Jesus is Lord. And there will be a reward for those who stand on His side of it! We are told that the righteous shall receive this reward.
In the end everyone will understand this simple truth.
There is One Judge.
There is One King.
There is One Truth.
His Name is Jesus. (John 14:6)
